Unless otherwise stated, events take place at the LCAA Gallery, 105 W. Center Street, Lake City MN
Regularly scheduled events
Tuesday, 10 am-noon - Open Studio Hours during the Music Circle. All musical instruments are welcome in the mix. Roughly 10 "regulars" bring guitars, banjos, accordions, trombones, saxophones, and drums. Songs are played by ear, and people join in with whoever brings their own music. You are also invited to quietly listen to the "jammin".
Tuesdays, 7-8 pm – Community Choir Practice led by Lisa Wallerich - If you're interested in joining the Community Choir, stop in at LCAA on Tuesday at 7:00 pm for practice.
Wednesday, 3-5 pm. (1st Wed of month), Monthly Storytellers' meeting, hosted by Sue Kruger - members meet to share their recent written works or verbal stories. Bring your favorite stories to share or your latest work for the group to enjoy. We are there for polite critique, inspiration and compliments.
- May: Early Bird gets the worm - Spring - Rebirth, Juen: Meet Truman Stolz, Illustrator and College Student (not confirmed yet)Thursdays, 6-9 pm - Open Studio hosted by Roger Rose.
1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, 6 - 9 pm - Join the knitting/crocheting group during Open Studio. Hosted by Bonnie Bakkum and Ethyl Zimmerman.
Fridays, 2-4 pm - Adult Coloring Group hosted by Billie Hunt
Sundays, 1-4 pm - Open Studio Hour or planned programming - hosts/planners: Jim Rahm, Don Schwartz, and Art Orth
NOTE: The regularly scheduled programming above and Open Studio hours are free for LCAA members or $5 for non-members.

Scholarship Opportunity April 25, 2025 submission Deadline! Student LCAA members or Students under their household's LCAA membership are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship if they're planning on pursuing an art related degree. See the application link and list of art majors for a list of the vast array of degrees/certificates qualifying as art related degrees.
May 1st thru 3rd (Thurs-Saturday) 100 Mile Garage Sale - The LCAA will be participating in the 100 Mile Garage Sale. If you've got lightly used, clean items you'd like to donate to the LCAA for this sale, we'd love to have them! You can start bringing small item donations April 7th, please wait until April 20th to bring furniture or other large items.
May 15th -June 16th - Participate in our 2nd annual public art display “Art in Motion”! We've received approval to hold our 2nd annual Art in Motion! Start thinking of creative ways to display your artistic abilities in this public art bicycle display. The exhibit will run from Thursday, May 15th through Monday, June 16th. If you're interested in decorating a bike for this year's Art in Motion, bikes can be picked up during open hours, or contact us by email to reach out to you to arrange a specific day/time. Here is the detail on how to reserve a bike, bike completion dates, etc.
May 24th (Saturday) 6:30-8:30 pm - We start the program series for Celebrating World Cultures Through the Arts. The first event is a Flamenco Dance and Music Performance put on by the Zorongo Flamenco Dance School and Theatre from Minneapolis, MN. Doors open at 6:00 pm. This is a ticketed event, $18.00 per person and we anticipate this event to be sold out so reserve your spot early! Click here to register.
November/December - Just in time for the holidays, participate in our Holiday Home Tour and Festivus of Wreaths auction!
